Mindless Rabble

A journal of activities regarding the life of Jarman, to all those who care to read. Should at least be mildly amusing.

Hey, remember the 80's? Heee haw.... - Jim Breuer, SNL

Went to a swinging Stage Troupe party last night. Stage Troupe is the acting troupe here at Boston University for non-acting majors. It was bundles of fun. The theme was "80's TV Shows." I came dressed as Marty McFly from "Back to the Future." Yes, I know that isn't from 80's TV, but if the first movie came out in 1985, then wouldn't the movie air on television in 1987? That was my logic anyways. The costumes ranged from Pat Benatar, He-Man, to Rainbow Brite. Good stuff. I am glad that it still holds true to college that drama kids are the best partiers! None of that Fraternity garbage. Wooo weee!

"Sting. The Stingster. Der Stinglehoffer. Sting-a-ling-a-ding-dong. Sting-o. The Stingman." - Rob Schneider, SNL

Went to see Sting in concert today. Fun stuff. I am embarassed to say it was my first concert ever. I was in the sixth row however so that was a bit much. It was awesome in that I could literally see the sweat drip off the end of his nose, but troublesome in that I could barely hear afterward. Some downfalls: it was short, only 1 hour and 45 min concert, and he didn't sing Brand New Day or Desert Rose. Too bad really. Oh yeah, and he messed with Roxanne! He did all the other old Police songs just like they were, but he did Roxanne like a mix between Bob Dylan and Pink Floydd; yeah I know, not a good combination. But... very fun overall. Even the opening act wasn't bad: it was a band called Fiction Plane, and the lead singer was Sting's son Joseph. Not as cool of a name but let's hope he makes it. I mean with a name like Sting; I wish I had the same name as Bilbo Baggins's weapon of choice!

Getting started!

Here is the start of what I hope will at least be a weekly update of my life. Especially now that summer has begun, I should have time for this; and it's so damn theraputic! To all who are interested enough to read this, hello!
